Tecnolab Europe is equipped with advanced testing equipment, facilities and a highly qualified in-house team, making the company fully equipped to carry out applied research activities.
Over the years, we have developed strategic partnerships with leading institutions in the Italian scientific and academic community, including Politecnico di Torino, University of Turin and INRIM – National Institute of Metrological Research. Each collaboration has been built around the specific objectives of the project, allowing us to combine complementary expertise and achieve tangible results. Through these activities, we have acquired new knowledge and implemented significant improvements in our measurement methodologies.
Among the most significant projects we have developed is research into the reduction of vibration-induced noise in water supply pipes. Turbulent flow generated by the movement of water inside taps produces vibrations that propagate through the supply pipes, creating the annoying noise often perceived in plumbing systems. As part of this project, Tecnolab and its partners designed and patented an innovative, easy-to-install hydraulic component capable of reducing the propagation of these turbulent flows through the pipes, thereby reducing or eliminating the resulting acoustic disturbance at its source.
This project is a clear example of our ability to turn research into concrete, innovative and patentable technical solutions.
