Throughout their service life, many products are exposed to a wide range of mechanical stresses, such as vibrations, drops and shocks, resulting from improper handling, transportation, or operating conditions in critical high-vibration environments. Although these phenomena are common, they pose a real threat to the integrity and reliability of devices, potentially causing immediate failures or latent damage that may only become apparent after long-term use, compromising product service life and performance.
For this reason, Tecnolab Europe performs environmental vibration and shock testing using high-performance electrodynamic shakers. These tests accurately and repeatably simulate the actual conditions to which a product may be exposed, making it possible to evaluate the dynamic behavior of the sample and identify any mechanical weaknesses or performance degradation in relation to / against the required specifications.

Test profiles can be based on recognized technical standards (such as IEC, MIL, ISO, etc.) or customized according to the customer’s specifications. Testing may include:
Type of test to be performed (sinusoidal vibration testing, random vibration, shock, etc.)
- Vibration amplitudes (acceleration, velocity, displacement)
- Test frequency ranges
- Testing along one or more axes
- Possibility of combining tests with thermal cycles
- Real-time vibration analysis (FFT, resonance search, etc.)
Based on the specifications provided, Tecnolab can perform:
- Sinusoidal vibration testing
- Random vibration testing
- Mechanical shock testing, including conventional shock and SRS (Shock Response Spectrum) testing
- HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing)
- HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening)
Thanks to advanced equipment and specialized technical personnel, the laboratory provides a comprehensive service for validating the mechanical robustness of products intended for demanding applications in industrial, railway, automotive and military sectors.
In addition, Tecnolab Europe S.r.l. is equipped with advanced equipment for mechanical testing of metallic, plastic and electronic components, designed to determine their mechanical and elastic properties. These tests are essential for both static and cyclic applications.
Tests on standardized specimens are performed to characterize the mechanical behavior of materials and components under tensile, compressive, shear and bending loading conditions, including the determination of parameters such as Young’s modulus.
